Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites.
Put the egg whites in a medium mixing bowl and beat them until soft peaks form.
Add the lemon juice to the egg whites and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
Add the egg yolks and cold water to a large mixing bowl.
Beat at high speed until the egg yolk mixture reaches within a few inches of the top of the bowl. This can take 3-5 minutes.
Slowly add the sugar to the egg yolk mixture while beating at medium speed.
Slowly add the flour to the egg yolk mixture while beating at medium speed.
Add the vanilla extract. Mix it in.
Fold the beaten egg whites into the cake batter. Do not overmix.
Pour the batter into an ungreased Bundt pan.
Bake for 1 hour at 300 degrees until golden brown.
Let cool for about 15 minutes before removing it from the pan.
